Very nice macro! sharp details in the butterfly and in the flower. Strong focus. Shows well against the background. A little more head space would have been nice so that the antennae wouldn't be so tight to the edge. Well seen and well shot.

This kind of macro shot is where I generally use up my six stars, yet this is one of the most spectacular I have seen in a while. I love the detail on this beautiful gold-bodied butterfly! My sincere admiration! Daphne Oberon

This is fantastic,a winner in my book! The amount of detail you have captured with such clarity and depth is amazing, the color on this swallowtail seems to sparkle like it is dusted with gold dust. You have cropped this very well, and i wish you all the best in the contest with this image!

This is a great close up of this butterfly! You have such excellent sharpness and detail. The light is great and the colors look natural. The background is nice and smooth. You composed this very well too.

A very nicely composed image. The depth of field is great and the focus on the head of the butterfly is excellent. Good cropping and great colors. Best of luck in the contest.

Your nectar gathering portrait is excellent. Your butterfly's working legs gathering his meal, his long swallow tail;and the edges of his wings give the viewer a butterfly "at work."
Cordially,

Exquisite. Detail, focus, cropping, it has it all. I love the color and "flatness"of the background so as to make the butterfly and flower exclusive nd clearly plain to see.

What a marvellous macro of this eastern tiger swallow tail butterfly and flower. Clarity and focus is perfect. Excellent lighting showing the incredible details. Liked how you have cropped this image. Beautifully captured. No 6 stars left but it deserves it!

This is a perfect macro in my opinion. All the fine details of the butterfly and the flower are exceptionally sharp. The colors are beautifully realistic. The photo is interesting. The photo is also well framed and balanced. I am distraught that I have only five stars to give for this capture. Best luck for the contest!
