Wow! Nice Macro close up of the butterfly and the Button Bush Flower. I like how sharp the butterfly as well as the flower were captured. Your lighting, focus, and details are excellent. Your vertical framing work nicely as well. Outstanding work and thanks for sharing.

An excellent entry into the competition presented here! Your 50/50 composition of insect and bloom works very well indeed!! Like the fine detail that you have captured on both. Exposure and sharpness are very good. Great photo and the best of luck in the competition!

This is what I call a real and perfect macro in all sense of the interpretation. It would be difficult to get any closer than this. I especially like how lovely the light is falling on the butterfly, and also how well the eye is captured. Even a high light is showing. You of course also have a perfect background for the flower and butterfly to stand out in an excellent way.
Your focus was spot on and sharp showing really clear and well defined details both in the butterfly and the flower, and the exposure is perfect.
The very tight cropping is working so well and I like the placement of both the flower and the butterfly within the frame. Indeed a great looking and well taken macro shot Willie, and with an excellent DOF. This should do well in the contest, and I wish you luck.

This is an interesting perspective, a super close look at the body , head, antennas and legs of the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail as it feeds from the button brush flower, this is well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, colors and tones appear natural.
