This is an awesome photo! I love that you were able to capture the bird with his wings open! Great detail captured as well! Keep up the good work! Nice job!

This is beautiful bird photography. You have timed it well. The light, and the composition have worked well and you have caught the busy body heron's action very well. Good effort!.Good luck!

A beautiful shot. It looks like he was just adjusting his balance on that stump. Great wing position and sharp detail in the heron whose subtle colors look great against that dark background.

What a lovely capture of this bird. It really is a good angle you got this at and you see the birds detail in all its glory and colour shines through well. Great job

Perfect timing!
Fantabulous still motion shot with very minimal aesthetic blur! So camera setting is really planned for this action capture!

An artistic rendition. Monochromatic earth tones...
Excellent details & features. Impressive setting & textures. Thanks for sharing...

It is really amazing how long these birds will sit for food, we probably could learn a lot from them but we want it right away. The focus is great and it looks like you caught him at the right time. I also like how this is framed, keep up the great work and best of luck in the contest. JackJr.

Thank you so much! You can not hurry the fish, you just have to sit and wait as I did.

This is a nice capture of those lovely wings. The lighting is flattering to the colors and I enjoy how much texture can be seen. The details of the face are nicely sharp too.

Wow! Perfect timing to capture this pose! I love the wings position allowing such a good view of all of his feathers! This is of course! Well focused! The image is clear! Exposure is well managed, colors and tones are natural. Nice detail all the way through, good eye contact. I like the stump he is posed on and the deep green tones in the water . Well composed and presented! Beautiful work!

6 stars shots are just poring in Willie, and this one I really like. Especially because of the lifted wings, which again means a perfect stop action. I also like the slightly green shine in the water with some blue hues, and the bird is of course standing out from it in an excellent way.

The photo is just pin sharp showing clear and well defined details both in the wings and the rest of the body, and the light is falling on the bird in such a lovely way, meaning a perfect exposure.

Also the way you have cropped the photo is perfect, and the bird has got a very good placement off to the left. Indeed a beautiful and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.
