Very innovative photograph for this contest. It has come out very clear with the clouds below. I love your story too. We must be of the same generation. And yes modern perceptions very often show ignorance especially where history is concerned

A beautiful picture taken through the plane's porthole window over the wing showing the wing flaps like the flight feathers on a bird's wing curled up. & below not snow but a cloud back floating above earth glistening in the sunlight. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

I liked the snow too, I find that dark blue clarity as you get further away from the clouds intriguing! I thank you for the compliments, but I do wish I had a good camera not just my mobile /I did have one my youngest son got me, but it was stolen./
