Wow! A gorgeous shot of the dragonfly....I like how your focus is on the
eye.....since the dragonflies have super eyes and their eyes wrap around their entire head giving them a 360 degree view. Very well photographed with good light handling, sharp focus revealing incredible details on the entire insect. Your patience has paid off.....and I like your storytelling with your image. Your diffused background compliments your work. Outstanding work behind your lens. Thanks for sharing. Congratulations on your being chosen Artist of the Month. Best wishes in the insect contest.

this is a beautiful capture of this lovely insect. pin sharp focus and clarity, great light which highlights the wonderful detail especially in the wings, natural composition, the dragonfly stands out clearly against the smooth undistracted back ground. very well placed in the frame. a pleasure to view. a very well taken photograph.

A beautiful shot that is very hard to capture. Most photographers only dream of getting a shot like this. I love how the background blurrs out bringing the focus on the dragon fly

A really nice capture here Willie. You were right to just wait for him to return t the same spot.

Great impact as the iridescence of the cleat wings adds such a natural artistic touch to the pinpoint sharp wings.

Great entry for the contest and I wish you all the best in the judging ~ Steve

Great picture of the dragonfly on the grass. It is amazing how fast they beat their wings because the look so fragile. I bet it was well worth waiting for it to come back thanks for sharing

Very nice capture, Willie. Your focus is pin sharp and your light management is handled well. I love that You can see the little branch through his transparent wings. The soft muted background creates a really nice canvas to present him on. I think I might have cropped a little off of the top but, that's just personal preference. Nice work!

Sunning is Stunning! Worth waiting for. Great capture of colours. Nicely centralised on that bright stick which balances the shot so well. Very fine detail on the little creature a pleasure to view.
