Brian,
A beautiful black & white view of the Row Boat beached on the shingle waited for the tide to come in a float it beside the Pier at the Seaside Resort much beloved by one of the King Georges. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus. Good luck in the contest.

Typically lifeguards beach their boats on the beach and that is what seems to have happened here. A well composed image with fine detail that looks great in black and white.

this is very good picture brian. it is sort of unusual in the way you have positioned the boat but in the context it really works and shows so much of the great pier behind. it makes this location almost exotic. really loving the black and white contrast.

Great shot of the boat making it the main focus on the beach Good depth leading our eyes back to the dock and house, The black and white filter works as it high lights the house and sand and gives terrific shadows. The photo is well balanced with terrific cropping. Nice shot for the contest.
