Good representation of an octopus, which is fully capable of being green in the wild. (They are masters at camouflage). Good usse of the rule of thirds, The background color allows the main subject to be accentuated. Well done.

I try to pick out 1-2 pieces to review each day and yours looked so fun. I like how each artist creates their own unique style. The octopus is in one of my favorite color combinations of greens and blues. You have the perfect contrast colors and I like your highlights.
Great Entry & Good luck!

Thank you for your interesting comments and review. We often see them swimming near our boat in the Algarve and they are quite beautiful, but unfortunately I hate how some of the locals catch them then kill them on the spot.

Nice alliterative set!
Modified caricature series...
Verdant overtone!
Aptly captured for the contest theme...
An interesting initial impact.
Compact framing.
Just tad tight on left and lower tentacles.
Don't clip tips!
Still a great entry with crisp outlines...
Best of luck in the contest!

Thanks Lucas for your review and welcome comments. I will eventually post the others in the set but for the next few days i am displaying a set which I believe at the moment has been stolen. I arranged a swap with another artist who confirmed receipt of mine and posting to me of hers but 6 weeks on they have not arrived. I may have been duped. Look out for my post and tell me if you would like to, what you think

A very nice image with tremendous shades of green. I like the composition but do not much like the pale fish swimming in the foreground. Best of luck in the contest.

Hi Brenda, the octopus has always fascinated me, you have created a beautuful octopus here with good shape and structure, and wonderful details throughout, I love the colors and appreciate how well you have applied them, the fish swimming in front of the octopus, give depth to this scene, and I love the bubbles too! Very well rendered and arranged, well presented!

Thank you so much again for your comprehensive review. We see a lot of octopuss where our boat is. They are also a main menu item on the island. I love to see them swimming, they are quite fluid and beautifully.
