I can't say I saw many abandoned buildings when I was in India, every shelter had someone to be sheltered, even if it seemed to be merely a roof. But yes, this is a great photograph. There were light, bright nightskies like this but somehow not like this at night time market in Delhi. Ah, I know what it is, the bulbs provided the light, on the stalls, to compliment the stars. That is the difference, in the light make up.

This belonged to my friend who owned that land and no outsider was allowed to enter his land. Otherwise you would find 100 people living on it!:) Thanks so very much for your time and the fine review! I really appreciate it!

ahhhhhhh now that explains it. I have to tell you, I stayed with a writer friend on a posh colony, and at the gate there was a corrugated iron tin, held up by a pole. There were a couple and ten children living under it. They swept the pathways and courtyards, but did not seem to have any other jobs, as I watched them laying around all day often. What really bothered me was that they have this number of children, yet see no future for them. I take it they cannot get birth control methods for free. Our extended aunt's nightmare.. birth control and deforestation. But then we have other nightmares here, experimentation with no holds.

A very striking image. I like the night sky even though it is not consistent with the lighting on the barn. Very nice details and great colors. Best of luck in the contest.
