Lovely yellow petals,with the two to the front kissed by a muted red.The sleeping tulip,behind and below,already shows its promise of being as beautiful as its mate. The charcoal green background makes the yellow tulip stand out.

Hi Barbara, the tulip is such a wonderful symbol of spring and it is one of my most favorite flowers! I absolutely love this one with its red with mostly yellow petals, your angle of shot allows us a good look at the shape and structure of the tulip, I like that I can see the bud to the lower left, this is well focused, the image is clear, exposure is perfect, the colors and tones are natural, I love the light coming through the petals and your darkened background was effective to enhance the lighting.well composed and presented!
