Okay, now I think I get it. Marzipan strawberries aren't real, fresh strawberries. The ones pictured and your narrative sounds and certainly looks like a sugar coated candy. I've never had a marzipan strawberry. I sure love fresh strawberries. A couple more months at least before they'll be in season.

Wow, this is a punch of color with great initial impact. Look at the texture on the fruit. I think having the soft background clearly brought out the color but also helped enhance the texture. Quite a beautiful composition Annie!

Annie, this is a lovely composition with a selective color. I love it! The lives are transperent, the berries are juicy! Perfectly cropped and adjusted! Amazing work! My compliments!

What a beautiful arrangement you managed to create to showcase these strawberries. The white leaves and background just set off the pure red. I also have never heard of marzipan strawberries and I can now say I know what they look like.

Looking at this makes me hungry! You have made them look so pretty and appetizing. The color and sharpness is alluring. I like the how well the veins stand out in the leaves and the shadows of leaves that can be seen through the foreground leaves. Very nice.

Haha! Love that you ate them after you'd taken this shot of the lovely marzipan strawberries Annie. I like what you did here to present them with the delicate leaves making an interesting backdrop. Very good lighting and focus. Lovely composition. Suzanne

Another beautiful still-life with crispy colors and focus. I always like your arrangements as they are always so well balanced. Your little tweet of color and other objects in the background really set this off as very special.

They look sweet and tasty, but are so realistic made that the look like fruit fresh from the garden. The colorless, but beautifully textured leaves in the background emphasize the colors of the strawberries and the golden bowl. The reflections in the bowl are also interesting and seem to emphasize the berries inside even more. The contradiction of color and monochromatic is intriguing.

I have never heard of this before. Are they rolled in sugar with red food color? I bet they are good. I like the photograph too and as usual I especially like the way you do the background.

Thank you so very much for the lovely review Willie, and yes you are right. Red food color is added and then they are rolled in sugar.
