Quite a nice entry into the competition presented here! I am no expert but I reckon you bagged a fern here in your enjoyable photo. Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely done!

Well, this is 80% green that really stands out against the obscure backdrop.
I guess this is not a fern but just a weed.
Its foliage looks like that of the tamarind...
Compact framing.
Sharply focused.
Subtly lit....

I am new to the photo world and didnt realize that this contest was to be done with special effects. Anyway as much as this is one of my best photos it got disqualified.i will have to learn how to create the effect

I love ferns and this one is an awesome shade of green , it stands out very well from the darker green in background, this is well focused,the image is clear, exposure is good, the color appears natural. Well composed close up , well presented! Best wishes to you in the contest!

Excellent entry indeed. I thought the contest for color green was for traditional art? I have a great photo that I've been waiting for a "green" contest to enter it. I was going to enter it in the selective color one. But like your photo here, I think there is some tough competition. Nicely focused light green lush fern. Like you said, laying against darker green is such a rich addition. Great detail is captured and nice lighting.

I really think this is quite unique. I like the contrast of colors and textures. Did you do any lighting changes or is the bright lime green just that bright? I do wish here was a bit more focus throughout the lime green, but that's my opinion. I don't mark down for my opinion. I'm glad you got up early and I hope the wedding was gorgeous.
