A very nice capture of this tiger swallowtail,very crisp image with an uncluttered background,I like the pale blue sky. I think this is very nicely presented and well balanced,a very eye appealing image for the contest,wish you the best!

very cool..when you gonna get that puter going so you can paint this? wink...oh yeah the new word is peacemaker..comedy..in case you get er up and running. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this butterfly on branch is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

You have captured this Swallowtail really well Cleo, and especially the antennas are standing out well. I also like the simplicity of this photo with the all blue background, and the butterfly is standing out from it in an excellent way.
The photo is sharp showing clear and well defined details in the wings of the butterfly, and the exposure is very good.
The minor cropping has worked well and I think the butterfly has got a fine placement within the frame. A truly lovely and well taken photo with a very good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

I am fascinated by the tiger stripe markings on this lovely butterfly. They give the appearance of brushed charcoal that gives a dusty patina to their wings.

This is an attractive representation of colors in nature. Each color has a lovely vibrancy and look good together. I like how the sharpness has brought out the powdery texture of the butterfly's wings and the sharp definition of the flower is also very nice.

The diagonal splay of the branches and shoots make a miniature shape of the the lovely butterfly's wings.The red petals of the flower are a good contrast against the black and the yellow.
