It is much easier for me to look at this image and focus on the beehive lady than the actual subject, lol! You captured a little too much detail of this thing :) Great selection of color, and the web stands out nicely.

Nice choice of selective color, fine focus, humor, details and eww factor. Still not a fan of spiders but they are fun to Photograph.

Nice use of selective color to bring out the story. A spider lady on a spider. Not sure the negative space image would be as visible without the gray scale to focus on the area. Good focus. Well done shot. Interesting spider as well. Thank you for sharing.

Ewe,..... But what a finely detailed shot. I do lose some definition upon zooming my screen to capacity. But that's okay, you didn't take the photo at that level. You took it as it is posted, which is as sharp as my eye can see. The detailing of the web she has spun is part of the focal point. And after the number of hours it takes to build, it should be part of the focal point. I love the way you achieved this shot. B&W followed by selective color. Makes me wonder what color she was. The yellow makes her sure stand out against predators or maybe as a warning. I can see a face in the markings on her back. And I see the details of every part of this mellow looking spider. The yellow has grown on me. Really great job. Good luck.

I don't think I'm a big fan of spiders myself, but I won't pass up a good shot at one. I'm glad you saw the image on the back of the spider as I did and felt I did a good job with clarity and exposure. Thanks for the great review and wishes for the contest.
