This is a fine entry for the contest. I like all the beautiful shades of red which are nicely contradicted by purple, white and black. The abstract is created in an interesting technique. The composition is balanced. The tight framing is adequate.

This is a wonderful entry into this contest, this is a beautiful flower with such a lovely shade of red and a bit of white and violet , this is such a frilly flower, it's the kind that would command all of the attention in the garden. This is a well made mixed media painting using paint and glue! The flower-like shape and the textures curves of the boats makes it an interesting viewing. Fine composition, soft colours and very good light makes this first rate.Good luck!

A beautiful rendition of a bloom in full, very like a carnation. An innovative use of technique to achieve this. Beautiful colour pallet with inital impact. Evenly executed. I think the blueish purple gives dimension and feel of the fluidity of living things. Just like a flower.
