I think these ice formations look impressive, and you have indeed pictured them well. It is also a perfect photo to present in black and white, and therefore a very creative entry into a contest like this.

The photo is very sharp with clear and well defined details, and I also like how well the textures of the ice is brought out. The exposure is perfect, and it is very good distinctions between light and dark.

The tight cropping is working well and I like the way the ice formations are filling the frame. I think this a great looking and well taken photo Allan, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Winter has so much beauty to offer with it's cold temperatures. Beautiful capture of the ice formations. Very well captured with good light handling, sharp focus, and good details and clarity in your image. Your choice of black and white works well with good tonal range throughout.
