This is a lovely abstract! I like the colors, they make me think of springtime. I also like the circular look of the design. Very well done!

Wait wait wait! I need to put on my sunglasses first..wow that is colorful and bright. No I don't mean that in a negative way..wink..the brightness did grab my eye when 1st viewing. (Thumbs up). The details is great. The depth is great. The Shading is great. The blend of the colors is awesome. Strong initial impact on the viewers eye and holds it. Creative and awesome work overall

Love all the bright colours you used in this, John - you must have been feeling happy when you painted this, accompanied by your daughter. It's so lovely that you are able to spend time with her like this - I know my grown up children appreciated it when they were little as do my grandchildren now. My daughter, who lives in Australia now, has always painted so we spend lots of time on WhatsApp sharing our work and discussing techniques.

I like the red background peeping through which really makes the light colours pop. Very imaginative image. Suzanne

Thank you very much. Yes I love the colors as well. I really am starting to like the neon colors, but I have to watch it with them and they can become a little distracting , but I will figure them out. And the Arden has been going to art classes at the Cleveland museum of art since 1 and a half, something that her grandmother got her into. To make a long story short I asked Arden if she wanted to take another class at a gallery by are home and she told me? no daddy I?m all ready art spirited ?so cute . So yes she is taking it all in . Thank you John

I myself have never taken an art class before. But have always been drawn to painting, and I have always liked colors, who doesn?t. Just am so happy that she had discovered one of her gifts at such a young age. Because some people go there hole life without ever even tapping into it.

I really appreciate your talent and spirit. We modern day artists are like blind people. We do not paint what we see. We paint what the mind visualises. I like the shapes and the gentle merger of colours. Good effort!

After reading your notes, I scrolled back up to the painting (I'm currently on my cell). I zoomed the image up and saw the red in the background and I raised texture. I think it is great idea in many aspects that you share this with your daughter. It will enhance that creative/thinking/problem solving side of her brain. Keep her occupied in a positive direction in life and it's cute as heck. She'll look back on these times spent creating art with you in a very fond way. I speak from my memories of my own dad and the simple things he taught me and shared with me. He's 82 now and doesn't remember those times. But i sure do. Your painting is cool, footloose, airy, swirling patterns in a kaleidoscope pattern (small center, working outward) and i love your choice in colors. The neon is a bit distracting to me, but i think that's simply personal taste. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for all of the kind words. I started to tear up when you mentioned your father and not remembering. I never had a father in my life my real father died at 60 and my stepfather died at 47. So I really don?t know how to be a dad to my daughter, I just know I am going to try doing with her all the things I couldn?t. And hopefully when it?s all said and done she won?t look back at me like I do my male figures. Thanks again for sharing about your father.John

So Arden, that?s my daughters name has been taking class to discover artat the Cleveland art museum since she was one and a half. So I asked her if she wanted to take another class at a gallery by our house, she told my ?no daddy I?m all ready art spirited ? I told her she was so smart and then we went to paint. Thanks just thought you might enjoy that. John

Hi John, this is such a different combination of colors , they make me think of Easter, and new beginnings , brand new life, the yellow of Daffodils and baby chicks, the blue , of the sky and robins eggs , also a good color for Easter Eggs, the bright orange like the center of an Easter lily and the white, symbolizing the purity of brand new life. The way you have arranged these spring colors is visually pleasing , I can see the textures , especially in the yellows. This is well created and it's uplifting to view! Well presented!
