its placement on the diagonal
is the perfect way to emphasis the beauty of this image. I love the sharp detail with the delicate bokeh in the background. Really a stunning capture and an excellent title! Love it!

I really like the simplicity of this photo, and the flower just looks great. I also like the bokeh showing in the nicely softened background, and the flower is standing out from it in an excellent way.
The lobster-claw is pin sharp with clear and well defined details, and the exposure is spot on.
The cropping is perfect, and I like the diagonal placement of the flower within the frame. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo Eileen, and with an excellent DOF.

Wow. What a Dramatic image you have here. The diagonal format is perfect for accenting the bold yet artistically subtle colors of the yet to open flower.

That's a very nice composition Eileen. And your color management is well done. I like the green background because it does show off your flower nicely. The focus is nice also. I like that you talk a little bit about what it is you're photographing and educating us. Nicely done
