Lovely portrait in oils of the beautiful Elizabeth Taylor. You've captured her wistful and sad expression - for all her money I think she was quite sad and you've shown this. Excellent use of colours, light and shade. Great blending of colours. Lovely composition. Suzanne

Very well done Carolynn. This is an excellent likeness of Elizabeth. In fact we are here in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and went to see the house where she and Richard Burton stayed. Actually it is two houses with a bridge over the road connecting the two homes.

I have the confidence because you're very talented artist. And obviously, it's not your first portrait done. The composition is classic! The colors are excellent! The light and shadows are perfect!!! The proportions and forms of the body are perfect! Great depth! You were able to show the personality of Elizabeth in this painting. Oil is my medium too. So I am glad I can learn from you. Hi Carolyn, yes, Elizabeth was a classic beauty for sure and one of my favorites too! You have done an amazing job of painting her, her face is well shaped and structured, her facial features are well shown , you bring her to life with the way you created her gorgeous violet eyes, I love her hairdo, her diamond drop earrings and necklace, the lovely gown she wears. This is impressive to view ! Excellent use of colors and tones, light and shading, beautiful work! I would only suggest that you. Photograph your art so that it presents full frame, the Facebook framing needs to be removed. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to viewing more of your work!
