Renate,
A beautiful picture of the harbour in Scarborough that "bracing" Seaside resort on the coast of North Yorkshire showing the Fishing boats in the background & in the foreground the piles of Lobster Pots & a warning (often ingored) not to feed the Sea Gulls. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus. Good luck in the contest.

A very nice entry into the competition posted here! Your fine and traditional composition grants us a very good look at that busy harbour. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

I was immediately drawn to this photo showing Scarborough as I used to live there - in fact my daughter was born there - so I know it well. I like the angle you used for this taken at the harbour with the misty Grand Hotel and Oliver's Mount in the distance and the fishing boats and equipment in the foreground and the poster telling people not to feed the seagulls. Very apt entry for the contest. Good luck! Suzanne

thank you.. I didn't know either, but they can get a disease from some of our foods which stops their feathers developing.
