Hi Susan, I don't think I've ever see one of these guys. He resembles a pudgy chickadee. LOL Love the focus and lighting. All the feathers are sharp. I enjoyed seeing this little fellow .Thanks for posting. :o) Helvi

    Helvi,
    Thanks a million for your complementary review on this male Bullfinch all puffed up against the chill wind. He is about twice a big as a Chickadee & our Coal Tit which is like Chickadee's twin.

Sounds like it! Your nice nature shot is well composed, sharp with good exposure. Like his puffed out posture and feather detail. Nicely done!

a wonderful capture Susan, I love the pink on the male which contrasts so nicely with the blue/grey , great focus and clarity on the beautiful plumage and also the catchlight in the eye, captured in a natural surrounding. and very well framed,. love it. jo

I love the colors of the bullfinch, he sits waiting patiently for his wife to invite him to join her at the feeder, he is well focused, the image is clear, exposure is good allowing his pretty natural colors to show true, I see good detail in his feathers , face and beak, and appreciate the clear eye!

A fine looking bird in a great natural setting. A well composed shot from a fine angle. I like the detail in his feathers and the gleam in his eye.

Haha! I think you're right, Susan. Lovely capture of this chubby looking Bullfinch waiting for his mate to give him the signal. I like the pose you caught here. Very good camera technique. Lovely composition. Suzanne

Yes. He looks happy and well fed, thanks to his loving wife I think!:) A lovely shot of the bird! The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

I Don't think that a wife can love such a fat man; it reminds me of the old ad of Michelin, called bibendum;
otherwise it is an excellent pic with nice colors;
