Very nice capture. I like the muted tones and the interesting look of the lighthouse in the water. The person using the mobile phone also adds a point of interest. Very nicely done.

Lovely diagonals of beach,sand,the woman astride the rocks,and,the old Lighthouse in the water. The bands of blue sky,above the Lighthouse,are,especially, interesting.

This is a very nicely composed photo. You can see some reflection of the lighthouse in the water. The woman gives a good sense of scale. I like the way the clouds are flaring out in wisps. This is a very serene scene.

I really like the simplicity of this image, with the lighthouse against the cloudy sky, the lady adds interest and dimension to the scene, the rocked also add interest in the fore ground, everything is well placed in the frame, and light and focus are very good. a really nice image, good luck in the contest.

Wonderful initial impression: this is a beautiful scene! I love the placement of the lighthouse in the out of center position, the sky is beautiful in the pastel tones of punks , blues and silvery white, nice placement of the horizon line allowing more space for the sky giving depth to the scene, nice reflection in the foreground, I like the layers with the water, sand bar, water and then the rocks. The woman gives scale and brings life to this scene. This is of course, well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, the colors and tones appear natural in this lighting. Well composed and presented! Best wishes to you in the contest!

Not sure why it is strange as such,but although its a straight forward record shot of this lighthouse,think it might have been better with a closer shot and a more vertical format...Brian

A well composed image in beautiful light. It is a bit surprising to me to see a lighthouse emerge straight out of the water with no causeway leading to it. The figure is nicely placed and gives us a good feel for the proportions.
