I know it's just a chair. With it comes a story that is like no other. Thanks for stopping by.

I think this is a good representation of Van Gogh's painting. It is missing some of the detail, but still easy to recognize for anyone familiar with his work. Well done!

It's just a chair. But it was Vincent's chair. With it comes a story and what a story it is. Thanks for stopping by.

I like the tribute to Van Gogh you have created. At first, I wasn't quite sure what was in the chair. That might be a bad thing to say, but after I read your comments I could see it. If I were Van Gogh I would have found a more comfy chair.

Not much to a chair unless you think about the many hours someone sat in it. Like a bed, you spend a third of your life there, but it's just a bed. Thanks for taking the time to review Van Gogh's chair.

I never thought about it that way. Thank you for opening my eyes!

Vincent Van Goth and the inner turmoil he lived with, it is an emotional thought. I often get the soft rock song written in the early 70's called "Vincent" stuck in my head. I have switch plates in my bathroom with his artwork on it. Not Starry Night. Though that is my fav. When I saw your chair, I expected to see and ear layng on it. I looked and looked, trying to see an ear, but kept seeing a pipe and a rolled package of tobacco. Guess I was right. There is a movie on video on demand that I watched a couple weeks ago about his life and death. Thank you for sharing this.

I have a museum and Gallery here in Fairview, Oklahoma dedicated to Vincent. You can view my Museum on Youtube, 'Leap of Faith Gallery' or there are several of my painting here on FAR, including Starry Night. He and I also wrote a book together. 'Leap of Faith' which I have just updated. This book tells our story and is written for inmates. You can preview it on Amazon by William Johnston. Many great stories here.

I like your rendition of Van Gogh's chair, the bright yellow wood framed chair with the woven wicker seat, his pipe and tobacco placed on the seat, I like the blue wall and the rust colored tile floor, this is very well created and arranged, with nice work to show the details in both the chair and the tile floor. Well presented!
