Hi Kelly! You have been very busy I see. This is my new favorite of yours The cobalt was used to a stunning effect. I love your use of color and shape in this. I bet the metallic paint really makes this shine when viewed.

I think the black shows off your gems very nicely. Also the cells make your individualized little gems. The photo does not do your metallic paints justice. Might I suggest you shine a light sideways on your painting and then photograph it at an angle where it picks up some of that shininess. I don't know if that would work but I think it's worth a try. :-)

Great initial impact. Good use of colours especially using metallic .. I like the idea of using black, it certainly enhances the formation of the rest of the colour pallet.
The metallic gives a strong focus into the gem shapes with contrasts in each "gem". Good interesting notes on your technique. A pleasure to view.

It looks as if you found a treasure cave, where unpolished crystals and gemstones cover the walls. I see rubies, aquamarine and amethyst, even a few diamonds. The colors are harmonic. Their arrangement in irregular vertical ribbons, emphasized by the framing, is eye pleasing.

I really like how the colors cascade down into closely knit lines. The large cells and the dark outlines create patterns that makes me think of silk scarves hanging next to each other.
