Very nice catch! As strange as they are the babies are actually kind of cute. I would guess it is a protection measure. Mom is very caring and protective as well. She is also an unusual looking bird. Good focus and clarity. Good color. Well done.

This is a beautiful looking family. First time I've seen these little cuties here and I think they are just gorgeous and so unique looking. So different from the parent.
I assume they eventually mature to look like mom, but their colors are amazingly bright and beautiful. Thanks for sharing this one of a kind shot.
