Well, I learned something new today. Nice photo, and good job freezing all of that movement. I like how you used the rings as a leading line from the left corner too, that was good thinking. Solid photo, my friend.

Nicely captured shot of the swan taking off or running off. This is an unusual view, It is also interesting and has possibilities if you crop the swan out. Good clear image with plenty of movement. Good lighting control. Well done.

How unique is this! I just love its "footprints" made before takeoff. This is an incredible action shot that ended up looking so artistic also. I love the light and the shimmer in the water. Very cool image!

Quite a nice action nature shot posted here! Thought it was simply washing its undercarriage until I read your notes. Your fine composition grants us a good look at the early take-off scene. Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely done!

Fred,
A beautiful stop action picture of the Mute Swan taking of from the lake "Doing a St Peter" on the water before managing to get airborne the resulting ring-ripples & spray all frozen by your fast exposure diagonally across the frame. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Great looking shot!. Fine example of bird photography. Your timing appears to be perfect and you have captured the taking off moment of the swan very well. Thanks for sharing!

Yes they do, and they are quite loud taking off! This is a great photo, i just wish it was zoomed in a little more to see more of the birds details. But overall a terrific photo. Great job. Good luck in the contest!

I wanted to show the unusual circles, not the usual back of the swan..
