Wow! How did you do this? It looks like a painting, but its not? The colors are fabulous, and the white background really makes the colors POP! Great job, its beautiful! Good luck in the contest!

It is a painting. My program allows me to paint digitally as if I would paint on canvas. I can choose the strukture of the canvas, the size and shape of brushes and I can mix my colors. I move my tools on a touch pad. :o)

Would you mind sharing what program you use. Im interested in getting my artist daughter into something like this. I could never paint like that lol! Thanks!

I am using an updated version of ArtRage 4.5.2 by Ambient Design. It is available as download on the Internet. There is a newer version out now and a limited version for I-phones. :o)

You've given good attention to shading detail. The colors are very nice. I like the added detail of something in the birds beak and catchlight in its eye and its little toenails. The composition is very nice.

Another excellent bird drawing - I love the color range and the fine details on his feathers - you managed it perfectly to give the snow life by the perfect shadow and light application - you bird is well placed in your frame and has a lovely initial impact - well done

The background is abstracted. No one can say what it is. I just mentioned the sand, so other viewer won't get irritated.

This is such a beautiful bird in the wonderful red head that, gold breast and brown toned wings and rail, I like the way you have placed it on the wood railing with bits of grass in its beak. You have created this bird very well with nice shape and structure, and realistic proportions, I really hope this bird can make a come back as it is truly beautiful to see.
