Pat,
A brilliant stop action picture of this Sea Otter floating on it's back head up with eyes watching your every move. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus. Only place I'd get to see one would be in a zoo.

Looks like he/she is doing or practising it's backstroke. Your full and central composition allows us an enjoyable view of your nice otter. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done!

They seem to be backstroke specialists although I don't think I have ever seen one, this is a pose that is common on tv. A beautiful image with good detail in his face and great colors.

I so envy you Pat! I would love to see any type of wild otter. It is one pleasure I have not experienced. Love the image you captured here. From the water to the fur everything is in beautiful focus. I love the diagonal image too. Amazing job of capturing this guy! :o) Nancy

What a wonderful opportunity you have living in Alaska to get animals that we in NJ can only see at an aquarium. You captured his relaxed and happy self in the water!

Hey big guy, how's the water?
Nice shot of this otter having a relaxing swim while checking out the area. Good clear focus to show the visible details. Good color in the water. Nice sense of motion. Well seen and taken.

I wasn't afraid of otters until you said they could reach 100 pounds. Haha. Handsome fella and I like the pose that you got him in. I like how he's fairly close to center. And the water looks beautiful there. Thanks for sharing!

What a wonderful capture of this Sea Otter. I love this typical pose especially when they are floating on their back working to open a clam or oyster or something else to eat.
The water looks rich with the different hues of blue along with the ripples created by the Otter.
Very well done ~ Steve
