You did a great job capturing the blue colors of these tree swallows and action. Your notes are humorous :) I think they might be house hunting for themselves!

Hi Nancy!
What a wonderfully Out of the Ordinary picture You've captured for us here,my friend!
And that one bird 'fluttering in' to check it out adds an extra bit of interest to the scene indeed!
'Good Show'! : )

Hi Nancy, birds in flight are a challenge for me so I understand the thrill of actually capturing one with your lens, this is a good storytelling image, the three swallows are investigating the nesting box belonging to the much larger , wood duck , I especially like that you have one swallow inside looking around while one is on the roof and the third is flying toward the box. This is interesting, I like it! This is well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well controlled, the colors and tones appear natural, for me, it's the story being told that makes this one special! Well presented!

I guess they are attracted to any kind of cavity. I see them in bluebird houses all the time. A very nice shot, especially of the one in flight. It seems there are three of them which is rare in a nesting situation.

Hi Mike, I've seen them in bluebird houses too! In my First encounter with these birds I was trying to get a shot of a bluebird. The swallow is blue, but I thought I was taking a Bluebird shot! LOL There are 3 birds, one sitting on the house, one in the house and one fluttering outside. Thanks for the Great Review! :o) Nancy

Nice shot. I would say they are a swallow of some type, maybe a barn swallow. It is that time of year when they are all looking for a place to stay. Nice color, good focus, nice stop action. Well seen.

Nice capture Nancy of these swallows checking out the Wood Duck box.

How fortunate that you caught one in flight as this adds a nice bit of movement and helps tell the story. Good eye for seeing this one and good reflexes in capturing the action. Well done Nancy ~ Steve

Steve, You always make my day with your positive reviews. This was just far enough away that all I saw was a little movement and wanted to check it out. I'm so glad I did. Thanks for the Great Review! :o) Nancy
