This photo has your name written all over it, and the sunset is just spectacular. I especially like how well the rays are captured, and the golden lining of the dark clouds. Above the distant hills it looks like the sky is on fire, and the colors from the sunset are so nicely reflected in the shiny water.

The silhouetted boats are standing out sharp and well defined against the sea, and the exposure is very good.

The cropping is perfect, and I think it is a good balance in the composition. Indeed a beautiful and well taken photo Steve, and with an excellent DOF.

Hi Steve, this is such a dramatic sunset scene you have captured, the moody sky with the dark clouds coming from the left to about the center and then again up in top left, the beams of light coming from behind the dark clouds and reaching up , that deep orange to red just above the mountains is just a spectacular vision to behold , the water is reflecting the rich warm tones and further interest is added by the several boats that are silhouetted against the light. This is well focused, the image is clear, exposure/ night lighting is well managed, the colors and tones appear natural, this is well composed and presented! It's wonderful to stand right where you were and witness this , I'm sure you felt thankful !

Thanks Fred. I had chosen this place well in advance and visited almost every day waiting for just the right sunset.

I agree the master set the scene, but you are the one who pushed the button.
The push of that button is more important then you think. You show others the beauty of our planet because many people seem not to see beauty unless it is on a screen of their computer or phone. That means they might lift their own head and then see the sky themselves.
You photo has impressive colors. The rays, cloud shadows and silver linings are breathtaking. The dark silhouettes emphasize the scenery dramatically. Your style is easy to spot. I would know you are the photographer without your name on it.

Thank you so Very much Cleo for very encouraging and artistic review and comments. Yes I do push the button but I cheat a little. I always go out and say "God show me, please show me". Then I just start looking around and then suddenly There It Is. And always it seems HE takes over and I just keep moving around all the time pushing the button. I know it may sound strange, but it is as if I am not in control. HE is doing everything for me. So I can take partial credit for these wondrous scenes that HE sets up for me.

Sorry, got carried away. I Truly do Always appreciate your reviews as you will always call it as you see it. That is So Important to me Cleo. Thank you ~ Steve

Steve
A stunningly beautiful sunset with the sun behind the dark clouds colouring the sky beneath it in shades of orange while it's golden rays are radiating up into the heavens from behind the gold edged clouds up into the heavens. These glowing colours are reflected on the glistening Water beneath the boat's adding interesting points of view.. artistic composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

A dramatic sky so beautiful is the light peaking out from those dark clouds with those rays of light spreading across your sky and the mountains in the background. A gorgeous scene with good storytelling. Very well photographed with good lighting, beautiful reflection of colors across Lake Chapala and wonderful details and clarity in your image. Good initial impact. Photography and post-processing at it's best. Outstanding work and thanks for sharing!
