This is an awesome picture! this is perfect! you capture these beautiful birds with their food exchange. I love the sun shining on them and the soft fade of the background.

Pat,
A Cyber six stars is what this picture is worthy of Brilliant picture of the Bohemian Waxwings at that tender moment during the "Pairing" ritual when the male passes his "gift" to the female that is so hard to capture as it lasts less than a couple of seconds. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A very sweet moment! I like the shot and what it captures. There are a few movement blur issues, but that can be expected in this kind of shot. Very nice focus on his eye and beak. Good color throughout. The shadow on the left around his head is causing some strange issues, not sure why. Did you add a vignette or is it just a natural shadow? Over all a very nice work.

Thanks so much Charles, yes I had light from the low riding winter sun and shadows, I was just happy to capture this moment, they move quickly and will fly off at the slightest sound!

I think this a wonderful scene that you have captured here Pat. The photo itself is sharp, particularly the head and face of the mail and the branch with those lichens.

The background is perfect for accenting these two.

Most of all I love the story that it tells of how Nature runs through All life in much the same way. Interesting how males and females react and interact with one another.

Great shot Pat ~ Steve

A beautiful shot that is perfectly timed. The light on their faces is very good and the colors are fantastic. The setting is attractive and the composition is excellent.

This is a beautiful portrait of two birds. I have never seen these in real life but your camera has captured them very well. I know little about 'mixed media photography' but I am assuming you can change the photo a little, perhaps by placing on your computer and manipulating it. It is truly lovely and the only thing I would change, if I could change, would be to make the face and neck of the male bird on the right hand side a bit more noticeable by adding more colour of his colour so that he projects as sharp an image as his female partner. However, it is still a very beautiful shot and if I could give you a five and a half rating, I would. Five stars just doesn't seem enough.
