A very nice shot with the kind of simplicity of line and smooth flow that makes nature so photogenic. The composition is beautiful and the colors are perfect.

This particular image seems that the main subject is just a bit to dark, I am unable to see the beaver's eyes. What I do like is the water. It is satin smooth and the wake created by the rodent draws the eye to the beaver. I just wish the body and head were a bit more discernible.

At close view the swimming animal and water are identified, but stepping back from the screen, the viewer has the feel to see the brush strokes of a painting. The limitation of color intensifies this impression. The photo is well composed, balanced and framed.

Thank you very much Cleo. I appreciate your perspective on this as it was something I noticed when taking the shot. The water was so blue and perfectly still except for his motion that it reminded me of a painting. The water only looked like water to me because of his movement.

I am intrigued by the stillness of the water in both the foreground and background. I like movement of the beaver and the water ripples he makes as he glides through the water.

Thank you Sange! That was actually my favorite part of this. The stillness of the water. It was awesome. The only thing that made it look like water was the movement of the beaver.

I like your information on the beaver. I also like that you gave the beaver room to swim forward and didn't crop close to his face. I like the water flowing around him. You're composition is nice. The color looks natural but I would like to see it a little bit later maybe add a little vibrance to it so we can see the beaver a little bit better. But it's a very nice photo

What I find amazing about this scene is the absolute stillness of the water. Just the gliding of this beaver disturbs the surface. You have captured an amazing sight. Love this.
