Is this just a single bulb that puts forth so many blossoms? The flowers are beautiful and they look great against that leafy background. Nicely composed with fantastic colors.

there are 3 bulbs, very large; each bulb will give 3stems and each stem 4 flowers thanks a lot mike

These flowers have such striking colors and great shaped petals. I like how they grow in clusters. Great exposure of the colors. Your angle shows off the shapes nicely too.

These red Amaryllis blooms looks truly great and you have pictured them so well. The greens in the background are perfect to emphasize the red, and the flowers are standing out from it in an excellent way. I also think the light is falling on them in a lovely way.
Your photo is nice and sharp showing such clear ad well defined details in all the flowers, and the exposure is spot on. I also appreciate the crisp and clear colors.
The photo is nicely cropped and the flowers have got a fine placement within the frame. A truly lovely and well taken flower photo Fred, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

these are subtropical plants: no survivors at freezing temperatures

I've never seen a red and white Amaryllis like that before, they are very pretty. Your color is well-managed and looks natural. Your focus is clear. Your composition is OK, vet here are two things that would make it better. Give a little bit more room at the top of your photo would be one. The other would be to use a more shallow depth of field so that the background is more blurred it would make your flowers pop out. But it's a very nice photo and the flowers are beautiful

Great use of light, central focus capturing colours and varigations. Angle holds interest and perfect dull green backgrpund to push forward the main objects to give optimum impact.
