A great photo! A minor mix media probably means that you had to soften the background a little bit. Sharp focus on the bird with perfect composition and settings. This green heron doesn't look greeny at all. Amazing how they keep the long legs stretched out. I'm happy to bump this post up to the recognized status. Great job as always Grace!!!

A very beautiful picture of this Green Heron flying low over the water beside the water side rushes, the light highlighting it's iridescent plumage & wings. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Oh what a nice one Grace. I like how you caught this one in the down stroke of the wings.
Nice and clear with good focus and stop action. The water and reeds give a nice natural habitat look.

Thank you! Maybe he is wearing a toupee for the ladies, lol! His head feathers are puffed forward so it does kind of look that way!!
