this is called 'getting it all right!' gentle colours, hazing into the distance. Making people feel good- as the world is really a nice place, I just have to wait and I will see it/be there etc Lapping waters in the grey and pink distance, all gentle, gentle, beautiful.

SF, breathtaking.

I seem to see more and more each day of things I not only took for granted, but how things have really been hurting me in the past and I let it happen.

No more, I see clearly now. :)

Your colors are subdued and perfect for your comments.

Love your story telling ability as well as your magnificent photography.

Thank you so my my SF. Yo tell the truth I have been a bit concerned that not all was going well with you. It is of course none of my business yet I could sense that there was something wrong and you were not the usual You.

I have learned one thing for sure: No one or nothing can Really hurt us without our permission. Of course many things can make us feel very hurt yet when we step back we see things and ourselves in the spotlight of Truth.

Sorry about that. Back to your review: I very Much appreciate your very insightful thoughts and for sharing them. I am honored by your Special rating. More than that, I am happy that this image evoked those feelings and realizations that will set you free SF. You are a very Special Person and I am glad to call you SF ~ SF

This is gorgeous! I wish I had another 6 to give - because this is deserving of the highest rating!! I love love love the mood and composition of this work, but especially where the shadow of the tree is reflected in the water. You can't tell where the reflection starts and the tree ends. The gentle movement of the calm water absolutely gives the illusion of meditation. An exceptional piece!

What a peaceful looking place. I would love to be there. The colors are soft and seamless. Then you get these two branches popping out of all of that. I feel like I need to be there now. My life is in such an upheaval and I need some peace and calm.

Here is where the photograph matches the title. This captures a sense of serenity and maybe a little bit of isolation. I love the soft color with the deep blues fading transitioning into green, gold and red. The soft horizon in the background is quite lovely. I think the trunk reflections in the water are really well done. Great work.

Hi Steve, This one was a hard one for me to interpret. I'm thinking the tree is the solitary life force in the midst of calm representing meditation. The background definitely has the feel of wonderful serenity. I could be totally off base but I thought you'd like to hear what I think. Love the water! :o) Nancy

Hi Nancy. I very much appreciate your review and thoughts. Actually I am not sure what this represents. I made the shot, worked on it in after photo, and only after looking at it for a while did the words come that I wrote down. I think it means something different to each one who looks at the image. To me that s what is most important. Thanks again Nancy ~ Steve

Hi Steve, I posted a poem on Fan Story Several years back called "Ten Poets On A Mountain" and it states exactly what your reply was to me. ON the same mountain, NO two poets would feel or see the same things. Each individual would be moved in their own special way. I think the most important thing about an image you post is if you can stir the imagination of the viewer who sees it. I hope in every review I do I can express how the image affected me. Your image definitely made me open my mind. :o) Nancy

Gorgeous photography and editing work leaving your photography so natural. I love the simplicity of this work and your beautiful natural colors in your scene. Very well photographed with good details and good depth of field and the slow shutter speed gives that silkiness to the water. A good balance of tones and shapes. Visually very strong image. This is an image where you can hear and feel the landscape as well as see it, so it is visually and emotionally strong and evokes the viewer on multiple levels. Outstanding work and thanks for sharing.

Indeed, meditative, serene and rather ethereal. It has a dreamy quality to it. What a beautiful soft reflection of the sky on the water and the hazy hills in the horizon. The trees add a focal point that sets the whole scene together.

My thoughts...
Why aren't the fish biting? Are they thinking too?
Damn snapping turtles aren't thinking cause they keep stealing my bait...
Been an hour now and the buddy is not back with the beer.

My thoughts? Where the hell is he?..lol. sorry top, it's a great capture but smartass like me just couldn't resist..wink.. the clarity is great. The capture of the light is great. The angle of the shot of these branches coming out the water with faint colorful background is great. The image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. Great eye and great job overall
