I see them on the ground most of the time so I find this composition particularly attractive. Though the light is not perfect the colors are very good.

A beautiful picture of this Northern Yellow-shafted Flicker, watching you out of the corner of it's eye from it's perch on the branch in the dead tree. It's plumage puffed up as it it's cold. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Nice capture. The angle of the shot of brown bird on the branch is great. The capture of the light is great. The clarity is great. The image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

This is a bird I have never heard about, but you have pictured it so well. I especially like how the branches work as a nice framing of the bird, and how well it is standing out from the lovely blue sky.
The photo is sharp showing such clear and well defined details in the feathers, and the exposure is perfect.
With the bird off to the right it is a good balance in the composition, and the format and framing is working well. A lovely and well taken bird photo, and with an excellent DOF.
