I think this is a fine entry into a contest like this, and I especially like the simplicity and the moss as a background. I also appreciate the crisp and clear colors of the maple leaf.

The photo is very sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen both in the moss and the leaf. The exposure is just spot on.

The format and framing is perfect, and the position of the leaf in the picture works so well. A truly lovely and well taken photo with a very good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

This is such a pretty image. I really like the background too and the shapes of the pine needles accentuate the shape of the leave. Great colors in this image too.

Elegant. Sharp focus, great saturation. I especially like the dark green and black in the moss. It's a perfect leaf with red, yellow and green and reminds me of my favorite season of the year.
