The bird's long takeoff run makes me think of a heavily over-loaded sea-plane doing it's best to get airborne!

I love that you shot your photo fast enough you got all those footprint water splashes. Very nice. I also like that you got a good reflection in the water. The diagonal line of the composition is very nice and different. So overall this is a very nice photo congrats

A very nice shot. I like the composition that emphasizes the splashing trail. The cormorant is well shown and he has a very nice reflection on the water.

This wonderful stop action picture deserves a SIX star rating but all I can offer is a Cyber SIX Stars... The spray the Cormorant has thrown up in it's attempt to get airborne is frozen by your fast exposure. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Lovely capture of the cormorant here. Good lighting and angle here shows up a good level of detail. Even though you couldn't get any closer I think you still done well so even for effort you get a 6 :)

Its not easy to say the least in getting images like this, in the first place you have to be ready for the action this includes the camera settings regarding how fast the cormorant is moving , the composition is for me a perfect one this gives the image depth, Love the highlights in the water splashes!

Its not easy to say the least in getting images like this, in the first place you have to be ready for the action this includes the camera settings regarding how fast the cormorant is moving , the composition is for me a perfect one this gives the image depth, Love the highlights in the water splashes!
