Pat,
A beautiful stop action picture of this Bald Eagle talking off from the water it's feet leaving a wake of spray that you have frozen by your fast exposure. It's flight feathers spread out like fingers on a hand. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

great action capture. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. the angle of the shot of this eagle taking off from the water is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

Another lovely photo and moment from you I would love to have seen this moment in time, not only to capture a bald eagle in the wild but to actually get it in action like this, no distractions to take youe eye away from the main subject, very well done!

It looks like he might have missed whatever it was he was attempting to 'hook' in the water with his talons,doesn't it?

I guess he missed a fish. I see its empty claws and the water splash beneath the claws and the wing. You captured good detail. The colors are nicely natural. The bird is well placed at left. The composition is balanced.
