Great shot. All the feathers are clearly seen along with its eye. The colors are also nicely handled and some reflection is visible. I' m glad you gave it forward space to swim in to so good composition

This is a very interesting looking grebe that I have not seen before. He has the red eye like the horned, western and eared grebes. His crest is pretty grand! I like his coloring which shows up well in this shot.

Very nice shot. I had not realized how many birds have red eyes until I started seeing the pictures on FAR. There is a lot of detail to see in the picture that is not easily seen because of the light and movement in the water, but the image is in good focus and the colors seem natural. Well shot.

What a beautiful bird and it's so different from the red necked grebe that we have here, I like his position in the frame leaving room to move into, this is well focused, the image is clear, I see good detail over every part of this bird, I appreciate the clear red eye, love the tuft on top of its head! Well exposed, the colors and tones are natural. Well presented!

Fred,
A beautiful picture of this Great Crested Grebe in it's summer plumage as it swims along looking for it's next meal below the surface while watching you out of the corner of it's red eye. The blue sky & white clouds & the grebe all reflected on the glistening surface of the water. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
