Interesting and strange. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out what I was looking at. At first I though it was a tree with a gaping hole...bad eyes I guess. It is a really weird sculpture to say the least. Hope you weren't the one who created it! LOL.

thank you. I am not sure either! so unsure that I took pictures of them to try to think what they might be, but I did like the way the ''bride dress shop'' appeared in the background. The other sculptures had ''grassy park'' backgrounds!

Yeah..it's called the artist couldn't think of anything truly to create. So he throws this thing together and BS the public of what mood he is in..that's what is funny about artist..they will post a picture and write out this long statement of what their artwork supposed to represent and also mood they were in when they did it...sadly the only statement I would say to them is this.."if you have to explain to the viewer what it is then you failed in the work". See there is really a big difference between artist and us cartoonist/illustrators.. an artist express themselves..us cartoonist/illustrator we tell stories..wink.. still this is a good capture. The clarity is good. The angle of the shot of this throw together art is good. The capture of the light is good. The image is balanced and eye interesting to the viewer. Good eye and good job overall.

thank you. Actually, when I was at art school, the lesson I learnt was that an abstract is something abstracted from the whole, so it needs have at least a hint of the original, however I was so unsure of most of these sculptures that I took pictures of them to try to think what they might be, but I did like the way the ''bride dress shop'' appeared in the background. The other sculptures had ''grassy park'' backgrounds! Actually, what you describe here is what a couple of lecturers told me at Art College. As I was a mature student, most would talk to me. I quote: They wear fancy clothes and make up long explanations when you asked them what it is supposed to be and think they are artists from that and forget it is also about skill to interprete and knowledge
These self same would be artists never appeared at life drawing or anything which required real skill. However, some of them had such a good spiel, they got away with degrees, so I learnt skill is not what is required,

Well the ones that get away with it do know how to promote themselves..have you ever notice those wannabees get noticed yet the ones with real talent don't really get noticed? Comes to knowing how to promote ones self. I don't know if those professors ever cover that in college. I do know they will down my medium and claim that copic and prima would be the choice. Conversations I had with a couple of that I have meet outside the college. Do forgive me on thing..I never had a art class..been drawing since 5. At 12 yrs old I checked out a book on how to draw a human form. Between that action comics and thousand of drawings I taught myself over the years. Heck I didn't even know about the pointillism until I join FAR back in 2011. I called it dot shading. Hard fight over the years and wasn't unitl about decade ago until my medium was finally to get recognized. Course I had to change my status from an artist to a cartoonist. Keep in mind this is my impression... artist express themselves of whatever mood they are...us cartoonist/illustrators tell stories. I feel if a viewer can tell what the work is without that BS statement then the cartoonist/illustrator succeeded in that work. I just don't think I can stand being at a gallery show..if ran across something like this and that is handing his BS statement I would have to hurt their feelings and won't care who is around me. Wink
