Very nice timing and stop action of when he does his call. I love their calls and sunset songs.
You did a fine job on white balance temp on his black feathers showing nice details with superb eye clarity.
Very nice capture Barbara ;)

Its quite true that a low vantage point really changes the visual language and power dynamics of an image.

A well timed still motion shot from below.
Perfect timing for that open beak to be captured.
Subtle lighting...
Compact framing.
Pin sharp focusing.

Thanks for sharing...

Wow. What an excellent capture of this male Red Wing Barbara.

The POV is special and makes the spread wings even more dramatic.

Just a wonderful image Barbara. A Cyber Six for this one ~ Steve

Kinda reminds me of a opera singer..lol..oooo..I just had an idea..you know if you have numerous birds singing you can create a short video with music in background..it could opera or any other music. However it will give the viewer the fun of listening and viewing the singing birds..it's a thought. Wink..the clarity is great. The angle of the shot of this singing bird is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

Thank you so much for the great review! He does kind of look like he's singing opera! Great idea to create a video of singing birds. I'll think about that.

This is great! You timed it well to catch him in full calling mode with the tail and wings fanned. The definition of the black feathers stand out pretty well and the shoulder patches look great. I like the sharp clarity of his face.

I was never familiar with this bird as I don't think it's in Australia but of late there hav even quite a few photographers on this site showing images of this striking bird with its strong vibrant red on its feathers. What I like about this one is the angle you have shown the bird and the expression is different to the others I have seen on this site. You have shown quite more of the personality and that is what I have enjoyed here. Thank you so much for showing as I enjoyed being able to view and review
