"Lasciate speranza" (abandon hope) is the beginning of the inscription over Dante's Inferno. It is translated as "abandon hope, all ye who enter here."

Hi Steve, This looks like quartz crystals and layers of agate. It could be that form in a geode. The only thing that crossed my mind for a name was "Amber Ice". It's the color and the crystal look that made me think of that. The image definitely has an interesting look to it. You must be getting a lot of wonderful names for your creations. I have to say I'm intrigued by what you're doing,
Great Job! :o) Nancy

Hey Nancy! Thanks a lot for your review and cool commentary.
"Amber Ice". I like it. Yes it Does look like quartz crystals and layers of agate. I can see that now. It is so interesting how we each see the same image differently. Kind of a projection of ourselves. Thanks again Nancy ~ Steve

You're welcome Steve! What you're doing reminds me of a poem I wrote, "Ten Poets On A Mountain". Each poet seeing a totally different view. Pretty cool what you're doing with your abstracts. You're really challenging viewers to think! :o) Nancy
-
Thank you Nancy. Your poem is no doubt Spot On.
We see things Not as They are but as WE are.

I agree with you 100%! It's why artists can touch you on so many levels. Have a Good Night My Friend! :o)

This is an interesting and creative picture! I would name it " The depths of the subconscious" The different colors and textures seem to be how a fuzzy conscious level would be. Interesting!

I see smoke and flowers breaking through stone or earth hardened by drought. I think Birth of Life or even Birth of a Planet might be an adequate tile.
I love you challenge. All your abstracts make the viewers think about what it could be. This experience awakens our emotions and sharpens our mind.
Thank you very much for the honor of making my suggestion the winning title of Abstract #2. It is a great reinforcement for me.

Hi BFF, this one screams at me "Double Fury".
At first I thought pencil shavings... but how dumb is that lol
It's like an explosion times two and very explosive in it's mood.
Very artistic.

Thank you BFF. "Double Fury". I can see the two explosions now. I am so challenged LOL. I am thinking to myself: "If you are not Artistic or gifted with creativity, surround yourself with those that are". I may have to write that down. Thanks again BFF ~ BFF

Well, the irst thought coming up is Hidden Gold Cave - Natural Underground Treasure. there is even a little box of Gold loll, special color range and design really something to think ybout - it also looks like natural earth formations in lyers as a time testimonial - - shadow and light application bring these pattern out perfectly - not an easy one and a challenge for us for sure, thanks for sharing

My first impression of the abstract scene is a war zone (maybe I have been watching to much Game of Thrones). Title "War is Hell" William T. Sherman Quotes "I am sick and tired of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation. War is hell." A unique abstract created with fiery colors and scenes of smoke and fire. Good balance of tones and shapes and textures and patterns. I like the movement created in your image. A creative and talented abstract Mixed Media. Outstanding work and thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much Mary Lynn. "War is Hell". William Sherman is spot on. After 26 years in the Army and four tours to Afghanistan I can attest to what he say about was. I tell people that Whoever invented war should be Shot! The only ones who talk about it are those that never saw combat. Sorry. I better stop before I get wound up. Yes this is much what a war zone looks like.
Thank you so very much for your commentary and Title Mary Lynn ~ Steve
