This is so adorable! I like how he seems to be looking at you, and the colors and dof are beautiful. I may have cropped some space off the top, which is probably a personal preference and your cropping does not take the focus away from the bird. I see that it is a no edit contest entry so that point is mute! The sharp detail of his body and eyes looks great. I like how he's standing on the orange :)

A very nice looking oriole. I would prefer a profile but this full face view is quite confrontational. Great composition and beautiful colors. Best of luck in the contest.

The Oriole is such a beautiful bird, it's one that we don't have here, so it's always. A treat to see them. You have photographed this one very well, he seems to be looking right at you, well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, the colors and tones are natural, his orange breast matches the orange slice! Well composed and presented!

Your focus is excellent and it's even got catch light in its eyes. It looks like it's posing just for you. The color is very nice, and your composition is very pleasing. It looks like the bird isn't making too much of a mess, pretty neat really LOL good luck in the contest

These are such magnificent birds -- lovely song too. We had many in the oasis palms in Baja. The natives would trap them and keep them cages as songbirds -- a very sad happenstance. Now tourism has destroyed much of their habitat. This one is a beauty! Thanks for sharing! Daphne Oberon
