I can understand why this is your favorite spring flower because it is truly pretty and has such an elegant and delicate look. The light is falling on it in such a lovely way and is standing out from the softened background in an excellent way.
Your focus is spot on and sharp showing really clear and well defined details both in the petals and stamens, and the white balance and exposure is perfect.
The cropping is nicely done and the flower has got a very good placement within the frame. Indeed a lovely and well taken flower photo Allan, and I wish you luck with the contest.

A very well focused photo of this lovely white trout lily,I have never seen a white one,we have yellow ones here.A great close up that is very well focused with good dof,making this a wonderful entry for the contest,I wish you all the best with this great image.

We have yellow ones here also. They sure do not last long in spring, one has to be quick each year to get them in full bloom. Thanks much for your kind words on your review.
