This is indeed a beautiful rose and the deep red velvet texture must be wonderful live. I wish the picture was just a bit brighter so more of the detail and texture could be seen (at least on my monitor. What I can see is well in focus and has nice detail. Well seen and captured.

I'm glad you like it. I don't care for the color. It's very dull. I guess the photography is adequate. You can see the velvety texture of the petals. So I guess it's a good job, but I don't care for the picture. The photo doesn't really have anything to catch my interest.

That is a very gorgeous rose. The history of it is very interesting. The focus is very nice on the petals. And what can I say about the color, oh, it's velvety red. LOL so very nice thanks for sharing

good looking rose. the angle of the shot of this rich color rose is great. the capture of the light is great. the clarity is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

What a lovely historical story and notes attached to this post. The rose itself is a beauty, i can we from you photograph alone. I love that you have captured that deep velvet look of the petals, i can almost feel their touch. The colour too is well captured, especially liking the light tips, adding texture and dimension.

A very nice rose with gorgeous color that looks fine against this natural background. The light does not do justice to this one as the detail in the blossom is quite scant.

Yes, it also has to be one of the darkest looking rose bloom's that I have ever seen too! Your full and central composition does provide us with a good look at it. Exposure and sharpness are OK. Nicely done!
