Wow Grace that bird means business doesn.t it what a moment and what a shot if it!

Love that menacing pose as if he is about to strike, I would normally say something about the whiteness of the background how that might be a bit of a distraction but in this case it works well and brings the bird forwaord more out from the background!

Great shot of this blackbird. He does look like he's ready for the battle of war. You can see it in his eyes lol. Great focus, nice composition, excellent depth and amazing angle at where you captured this at. Thanks for sharing

What a trapeze artist! His fluffed red wings make him appear to be wearing a cloak that reaches to his fanned out black tail feathers. And,his open beak tells you what he is "saying."

Joanna

A somewhat spooky image of this male redwing,it's eyes seem to be glowing! Like those flaring epaulets as he announces his presence, probably cursing someone-lol! Nice crisp image that's very well composed and nicely captured!

He is pissed cause he missed the battle.. guess he is picking a fight with the squirrels..wink..lol. cool capture. The clarity is great. The angle of the shot of this blackbird screaming at the viewer is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

Beautiful shot of the Red-winged Blackbird. I like the storytelling with your image along with a well composed shot and nice off center placement in your frame. Very well photographed in good lighting, sharp focus, and good details and clarity in your image. Your diffused background compliments your beautiful work. Outstanding work and thanks for sharing.

Haha! He does look as if he's about to go into battle, Grace, as he brandishes his spear and shouts out his battle cry! Great capture. I like the softened background. Very good lighting and focus. Great composition. Suzanne

Grace,
A wonderful stop action picture of this male Redwing Blackbird perched on a thin reed stalk mouth open as if in protest the light dancing of his shiny beak his red & gold epauellets glowing in the light. The soft blurred pale grey greens making the perfect backdrop. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Quite a nice nature shot posted here! He does look pretty worked up about something up there!! Your fine and almost central composition grants us an enjoyable look at him. Sharpness and exposure are good. Nicely taken!
