Even without those adorable facial features, this guy still looks so cute with those stripes on his smooth coat.
Nicely framed!

Monochromatic colors. Excellent details & features. Impressive strokes & textures. Thanks for sharing...

Yes, he does look like a cat from behind, Grace. Great capture of this little Chipmunk from behind, showing his stripes. Very good lighting and focus showing excellent clarity. Great composition. Suzanne

He does indeed resemble a cat waiting to pounce upon its unsuspecting prey. The fur details are lovely and I enjoyed your artist notes. I like the way the fur colors blend with the surroundings. I had to really look hard for the tail as it blends so well with the bark of the tree.

What I want to know,Grace,is if your Least Chipmunk's name is Alvin. You know the one that sings the Christmas song. But,kidding, aside, you have shown his stripes, beautifully, amidst the shades of wood, both,on which he is seated;and, too, that in the background.
Regards,
Joanna

a lovely view of the chipmunks stripes and detail in the fur, the chipmunk stands out clearly and in great detail against the blurred back ground, the rustic wood in the fore ground adds interest and texture to the scene, the position in the frame works really well. great shot. thanks for the artist notes.

Yes, he does rather resemble a cat! Your fine and slightly off-centre composition provides us with a good look at his back which matches your good explanations. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done!

We just have the Eastern here in New York,so it's nice to view a different one! I like this back shot showing very nicely it's stripes. It does indeed resemble a tiny cat as it sits there. An enjoyable shot with equally enjoyable artists notes!

Grace,
A beautiful picture of this little Least Chipmunk as seen from behind with it's ears resembling those of a cat who's ear's are pricked to catch every sound. The colour of it's coat & it's stripes match those of it's surroundings yet with your sharp focus it stands out clearly from the background. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
