Very nice POV Fred. The sky, water add a soft touch of blue with white Puffy clouds.
The architectural details of this fortress are incredible.

Blimey Fred I cant keep up with you you certainly know about travel photography and the interesting subjects, like this one nice diagonals in the water a lovely looking sky and that trademark of your the panoramic format! Iwould also work as a b/w!

slightly tourist type of shot and nothing wrong in that,do wonder where you were in relation to this place as this would have been better had you been at the same level rather than above,think that would have made for a much stronger image..Brian

This is an interesting structure. It looks as if the fortress covers the entire island and could only be reached by boats or ships. The photo has a nice POV, realistic colors, is focused and has good depth. The diagonal position of the fortress is interesting. The fortress is well placed into the frame. The co0mposition is balanced. I also appreciate the interesting historic information in your comments.

What a fantastic story and well written notes to explain this imposing historic piece of architecture in the mode of a fortress. The photo is very clear and nicely balanced the angle I like in that we appear to be higher looking down so getting the full impact of its defence and grandeur in an age of battles and defences (has time really changed?). It is an imposing shot with good use of light to capture the sky blues and water reflections which make an excelkent frame around the fortress.
