You are becoming quite the bird stalker these days. I have a cardinal couple outside in a tree next to my car... I can't get a shot. Soon as I raise my lens their way.... across the street they fly!!
So Queen Birdie Stalks... Nice work on this gal Grosbeak posing pretty for you in the stixs!

Thank you Sange! I have some birds that do that to me too - I am still stalking them :)

Thank you! I think you are right. Since the females are usually the ones that tend to the nest and babies it's probably better that they blend into their environment and not draw attention easily.

Even as she is less colorful, she has the elegance of a lady clothed in the finest materials, but in muted colors. She looks especially nice between the soft pastel greens. The photo has exquisite depth. The bird is in sharp focus, showing good detail of body and plumage. The photo is well composed, balanced and framed.

She is such a pretty lady and she has offered you a beautiful side profile view, I see nice details over her feathers face and beak and appreciate her clear eye, nice placement in the frame and I like the tree branch and leaves allowing a good sense of her location. Well composed and presented with good focus, the image is clear and well exposed.
