Definitely, not terrible. You are to hard on your self. The only thing I would change, (if you were to draw it again .LOL)would be how long her forehead looks. Without the drawing I would think you drew it to long, but it looks like the photo. It might be the shadow is not quite right???

thank you Shirley for taking the time to write a review,and as a mater of fact, I did rework this piece, I couldn't just leave it alone. I'm re posting the revised addition, it's a little better I hope, still not satisfied with it however. and I agree with you, her forehead looks like a throwback from the old Saturday night life' cone heads LOL

Hi Lynnkah,That's to funny, thinking of it like the cone heads. lol It is not that bad, but love the sense of humor. I will look for the revised work.
I just did a sketch of a cat, for a FAT contest. I did not like the first one, so I redrew it, and messed up the second one. Maybe I can fix it, but I was upset, I missed the contest, with myself and set it aside for now. Shirley

I think this is great, Diane!!! You do digital art. It's not going to be the same as traditional painting or a photograph. First, I love the green eyes of your daughter. They're like two deep crystal emerald lakes!! Fantasticly amazing! I think they match with her name! I hope Chrystal likes her portrait as much as I do! Awnya's eye is different. That's my favorite part: the eyes as the windows of souls (Ive heard that before). To make this perfect, I suggest to eliminate the other details because they're not so important. Right now there's too much attention to the corners. I would make everything else behind and arownd them black, including the background. In my opinion it will make the best part (the eyes of the beautiful girl and dog) stand out. You have fantastic abilities and talent, Diane!!! Bravo!!! ((Hugs))

I used your idea of a black background and it does seem to make a difference. thanks for the advice. Still can't get those eyes right. Oh and I should have added her pup is blind in that eye so I had to improvise LOL
